Say’s Phoebe

Say’s Phoebe, is a set of 20 postcards. The cards are all made from an early field guide to birds.  They were made by collaging picture fragments and contact sheets onto the book pages.  All of the postcards will be mailed away.

Discarded

Discarded is a series of unique artist’s books, all constructed from recycled books.  The books used for the project have all been found in trash bins or $1 piles.  In reinventing or reconstructing the books, the original pages are cut out of the binding, and the boards and spines are then used again, though the pages replaced with my own photographs.

Terrorism Freedom and Security

During the spring of 2004, I did a short book about the Iraq War and the Media.  The book is a series of scotch tape lifts puled from the New York Times.

The book develops a narrative about our cultural integrity and morality.  The pictures are selected from both the headline news and the advertisements of the day.
